We Don’t Fit In
“And that ye may put difference between holy and unholy, and between clean and unclean.”
When an individual receives Jesus Christ as the Lord and personal Savior, there is a change that takes place. This change sets us apart from the rest of the world. While no immediate physical changes occur, a definite and absolute change occurs in our spirit. No longer the filth of the earth, we are clean by his spirit and through the words that are constantly poured into our spirits. The sad thing is that it has become extremely difficult to know who’s saved and who’s not. The word plainly tells us that we the people of God are supposed to show the difference between holy and unholy and between clean and unclean. The unsaved world should be able to look at us and see what they are not, and what they need to be; clean, righteous, Jesus-filled beings. We go to difference places and we don’t fit in, simply because we are not supposed to. It is impossible for something or someone to be clean and dirty at the same time. In the same sense, we the people of God cannot fit into the world's systems, we are and we represent the difference.
